چکیده

This study aims to determine the antioxidant activities of fruit, leaf, and branche extracts Morus alba L. nigra species collected from Diyarbakır. Different in vitro methods such as Total Phenol Content (TPC), Flavonoid (TFC), Copper (II) Ion Reducing Antioxidant Capacity (CUPRAC), 2,2´-diphenyl-1-pikrilhidrazil (DPPH), 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavenging were used evaluate two species. The highest total phenolic amount belongs acetone extract (257.5±0.05 μg gallic acid equivalent mg-1) obtained M. branches, while flavonoid content was found (185.8±0.15 catechin leaves. In CUPRAC test, activity observed methanol branches (IC50 values is 35.63±0.22 mg-1). IC50 DPPH are between 128.1±0.13 2494.7±0.30 mg-1, best demonstrated by (128.1±0.13 prepared branche. ABTS (75.5±0.25 branches. results prove that both possess properties, not only leaves fruits but also At end study, it determined have medicinal usage value which can be natural antioxidants.

Antioxidant properties of different extracts of black mulberry (Morus nigra L.)

In vitro antioxidant properties of 3 different extracts of black mulberry (Morus nigra L.) were investigated. Acidified methanol, acidified water, and non-acidified methanol/water solutions were used to prepare extracts. Different solvents caused different protonation on black mulberry anthocyanin structures, which were predicted according to their UV-VIS spectrum. Extracts indicated 2 main pea...

Antidiabetic and Antioxidant Effects and Phytochemicals of Mulberry Fruit (Morus alba L.) Polyphenol Enhanced Extract

The antidiabetic and antioxidant activities of the ethyl acetate-soluble extract (MFE) of mulberry fruit (Morus alba L.) were investigated. In vitro, MFE showed potent α-glucosidase inhibitory activity and radical-scavenging activities against DPPH and superoxide anion radicals. In vivo, MFE could significantly decrease fasting blood glucose (FBG) and glycosylated serum protein (GSP), and incre...

Optimization of microwave assisted extraction (MAE) of pectin from black mulberry (Morus nigra L.) pomace

Microwave assisted extraction (MAE) tech-nique was employed for the extraction of pectin from black mulberry (Morus nigra) pomace in this research. The effects of process variables namely microwave power (300-900 watt), irradiation time (10-30 min) and liquid to solid ratio (15-30 mL/g) on the yield, degree of esterification (DE) and galacturonic acid content (GalA) of pectin were investigated ...
